Any mechanics on here?
I have a Xsara Picasso 2006 and it's been leaking brake fluid from the reservoir for a while not great amounts - had a new clutch recently and think they overfilled it - Is it as simple as taking it slightky below Max line and will be replacing cap ?
Should this cure it?
Braking is fine by the way but the missus does drive like Lewis Hamilton so could be sloshing over the top as too full?

Thanks Tom yes drawn a bit off and ordered a new cap off ebay not too concerned as brakes work ok but will keep an eye on it anyway - knob has been wiped anyway!!!!

It could be that simple, clean the outside and use a £1 shop turkey baster to draw a little fluid off, clean again and keep an eye on it. (On a 2001 version) the cylinder is shared brake/clutch and is plastic so not the strongest anyway though cheap and easy to change if need be.
Good luck

You need to check the whole system for leaks ie. calipers, brake lines/hoses, master cylinder etc.etc.

A very quick and foolproof way of doing this is to take some of the excess brake fluid, dip your knob in it, and then wipe it across your computer screen.
